Parish Administrator

Reports To:

The parish administrator will report to the rector and wardens.

Job Overview:

Support the ministry of the rector and the collaborative mission of wardens, vestry and staff.

Hours: 15 in-person, with flexibility

Compensation: $20 per hour

Responsibilities and Duties:

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Print the weekly Sunday worship bulletin for 8 am & 10 am services.

  • Curate and schedule the weekly e-news email and notify participating contributors.

  • Provide access to the building via security software; create new codes as needed for entry.

  • Answer the phone, attend to email and mail.

  • Create and manage the shared schedule of ministries.

  • Order supplies for the office and the campus.

  • Manage church records and correspondence.

  • Input data to the Parochial Report and Format Annual Report for Annual Meeting.

  • Maintain records of mandated Safe Church training for staff, vestry and volunteers

  • Field requests for occasional building use.

  • Maintain Google Calendar and onboard users of primary office platforms.

Qualifications:

The parish administrator is not a worshipping member of Church of the Epiphany but may have experience with faith-based organizations. Qualifications will include:

  • Ability to multi-task and welcome interruptions.

  • Discretion regarding the pastoral ministry of the rector and Prayer Ministry.

  • Experience with these platforms a plus: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Realm, Constant Contact, Dropbox and Squarespace
