Education > Bible Study

A prayer by Thomas Cranmer, the author of the first Book of Common Prayer, reminds us that since the beginning of the Anglican tradition in the 16th century, the regular study of the scriptures has been central: "Grant that we may . . . hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them," Cranmer prayed.

At Epiphany, we take this seriously. There are four opportunities for bible study in our community. One takes place on Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the Living Room at church. Another gathers in the home of parishioners on Mondays at 7 p.m. Another bible study group called "Gospel to Go" now gathers at Seven Stars Bakery in Rumford on Thursdays at 10 a.m. People of all levels of bible literacy are welcome!
