Godly Play Classes this Sunday

Contrary to what was previously announced, there will be Godly Play classes this Sunday, May 9. The PreK-K and 1-2 Grade classes will combine and hear the story of Holy Baptism; Grades 4 & 5 will hear the story of the Circle of the Holy Eucharist.

Opening the Prayer Book

We as Anglicans understand that..."the way we pray (together or individually) shapes the way we believe and act." Along with the Bible and the Hymnal, the Book of Common Prayer defines our beliefs, tradition, and mission. Join Jennifer and Ned on all Sundays in May at 9:15 a.m. for this Adult Forum series that explores the Book of Common Prayer.

Dear Friend,

The impact of Jesus' victory in the Cross and Resurrection is so great that we need, year after year, to spend the whole Great Fifty Days looking at Easter through many lenses. This week, let's try just one. In the Revelation to John, the writer gives us an image of the final result of what we celebrate in this season. God completes his work of love; heaven comes to earth. All is transformed in love into staggering loveli-ness. Think on the beauty we see around us; in nature, art, music; above all, in loving people. Wait 'til we see what God does in love and beauty.
Easter blessings,

Ned

  • Equal Exchange, Fair Trade Coffee
  • Equal Exchange, Fair Trade Coffee

Through our outreach commission we offer fair trade coffee for sale as a ministry. Purchasing it supports farmers in earning a fair wage for their work as well as promoting sustainable agriculture. We buy direct from the co-op and there is no "profit" to our church. The coffee is excellent and tastes even better knowing that it is ethically grown and marketed. Coffee will be offered for sale during the coffee hour following both services next Sunday, May 16. We will have both regular ($5.65 per bag) and decaf coffee ($6.65) available. Contact Kathy Ivey at 401-270-0534 or kivey47@hotmail.com.

  • Community Garden - Garden Party
  • Community Garden

    • Plants - vegetables & flowers for food pantry & flower beds
    • Tools, Stakes, & Markers
Any questions please call Anne at 401-722-4699. If you are interested in your own plot or a plot to share please contact Anne before May 22.

  • Dinner & a Movie Night
  • Lord, Save Us From Your Followers

"If you were to meet ten average Americans on the street, nine of them would say they believe in God. So why is the Gospel of Love dividing America?" Come join us, Friday, May 21 as we view "Lord, Save Us From Your Followers" and take a closer look at what's dividing our country, believers and non-believers alike, and how we can begin to bridge those gaps. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass. The movie will begin at 7 p.m. with a discussion to follow. Childcare will be provided.
